OFFICE ORDER
ANTI-RAGGING SQUAD
In view of the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the matter of “University of Kerala v/s. Council, Principals, Colleges and others” in SLP No. 24295 of 2006 dated 16/05/2007 and that dated 08/05/2009 in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, the Raghavan Committee Recommendations, and the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, the Anti-Ragging Squads of the institute are nominated ad enclosed.
The Anti-Ragging Squads are bodies with vigil, oversight, and patrolling functions and shall remain mobile, alert and active at all times. The squads will make surprise raids on hostels and other hot spots and is empowered to inspect places of potential ragging. The squads shall work under the overall guidance of Anti-Ragging Committee.
The Squads shall identify, properly illuminate and keep a close watch on all locations known to be vulnerable to occurrences of ragging incidents. The squads shall tighten security in the premises, especially at vulnerable places and do intense policing. Volunteers, if any, shall be resorted to at such points at odd hours during the first few months of the academic session.

All the above Squad will always vigilant and mobile in their assigned areas and fully responsible to prevent any indiscipline like ragging. The squads will remain in co-ordination with the next area squads to prevent any possibility of ragging.
- The staff coming from Pauri and are involved in squads shell be the part of squad during office hours.
- College vehicle will be provided, after office hours, on request for those areas where Mobile Squads will move.
- Apart from the anti- ragging teams, wardens are required to make surprise raids in their concern hostel several time to reduce the potential of ragging and any type of Indiscipline.
- The wardens of hostels are also required to visit their respective hostels and make attendance after their entry time. After that, no student will be allowed to be out of his/her hostel.
- The mobile squads will remain continue for first four months and may continue if required.
