Centre The project, with a grant of
Rs. 8 lakhs, aims at creating an environment for self-employment and
entrepreneurship development through formal and informal programmes;
Developing management personnel at appropriate levels for the non-corporate
and unorganized sectors like education, rural development, small-scale
industry etc; Utilizing the infrastructure facilities and technically trained
manpower for the development of non-corporate and unorganized sectors;
Supporting continued education needs of personnel in areas of technology and
management and Conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programmes
on full time/ part-time basis exclusively for working professionals. IIPC- Industry

The college Training & Placement department has received a grant of Rs. 9
lakhs for this project which involves Maintenance, coordination &
promotion of Consultancy services; Encouraging Industry to collaborate in
Industry Study Tour Programme (ISTP) /Intern-ship Programme, Placement of
students in Industries; Supporting R&D programmes in the Institution; Promoting
sponsored and joint R&D projects; Conducting Industrial Training and
Industrial Visits for the students and faculty, industrial exhibitions to
highlight research facilities and expertise available with the institution;
Signing of MOU on behalf of the Institution and development of curriculum as
per industry needs.
CISCO has identified the college as a center for networking excellence in the
region through a MoU with the Government of Uttaranchal. Two of the faculty
members of the department have been trained at IIIT Hyderabad and nominated
by CISCO as its certified instructors for the Cisco Networking Academy
Program which is a comprehensive 8-semester/560-hour course that
trains students to design, build, and maintain computer networks. The
students are also prepared for industry-standard certifications including the
CCNATM, CCNPTM, and Network+TM. The Program
is an e-learning model that delivers web-based educational content, online
testing, student performance tracking and hands-on lab. support and prepares
graduates for the demands & opportunities of the new world. Cisco and
Cisco Learning Institute provide corporate sponsorships, internships, and
college scholarships to Networking Academy Students. |
