The central library, apart from the core block, constitutes of three separate sections namely, Reference Books Section Journals Section Audio-Video Section The library core block is well stocked with more than 10000 titles on engineering, technology, management and ancillary areas from the various Indian and foreign publications. The library operates on an open access system. The students have free in-hand facilities for books and journals through the use of computerized catalogues. The Journal Section, apart from general science magazines, subscribes to around 60 national and international engineering, technical and science journals, conference proceedings and transactions published by reputed institutions like the IEEE, IETE, ISTE etc. The Audio-Video Section, equipped with the latest in trend audio-video systems, with information and full course lecture VCDs of eminent professors from IITs, is striving for the unlimited ambit of frontier vision in educational technology. Apart from video courses, the digital library of the college is a member of the INDEST Consortium through AICTE-INDEST Scheme for subscription to e-journals. Through the consortium the students have access to 173 international journals, transactions, conference proceedings of the IEEE. The digital library is also a member to JGATE Engineering & Technology (JET) through which the students have wide access to electronic journals. A well-equipped internet lab with 50 nodes is open to all the students round the clock, connected through a VSAT–DAMA link of 128 kbps along with a separate broadband link. The lab has its own FTP server, which provides useful educational software, and tutorials on demand at ftp://gbpec.ren.nic.in. For efficient information exchange and resource sharing, all departments are connected to the central server via 100 Mbps two 24 ports Ethernet switches LAN. An auditorium with a seating capacity of over 650 is being equipped with state of the art focusing & lighting systems, multimedia movie projectors and audio systems to serve as a central hub for various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities organized round the year and also cater to every kind of public addresses, technological presentations, conferences, workshops and symposiums. The campus currently has five hostels viz. Kedar Hostel, New Boys Hostel, Raman Girls Hostel, Visvesvaraya Hostel and Alaknanda PG Hostel. Each hostel has its own mess, indoor sports facilities and a library maintained by the resident students. All hostels are provided with round the clock water and power supply. The College Guest House Complex has five guest houses with full-fledged accommodation, meeting room, dining hall and communication facilities. Outdoor sports complex and Volley Ball court are developed in floodlit 100 meters x 50 meters field. The college Indoor-Hub has facilities for Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom and Chess. The college has residential facilities for faculty as well as staff members. For Faculty Members the campus has Nine Duplex Type-IV A residences, Sixteen Type-IV residences and Twenty Type-II residences in the Teachers’ Transit Hostel. For Staff Members the Campus has 10 Type II residences and 24 Type-I residences. The campus has its own canteen cum cafeteria, Campus Shop and Campus PCO, Xerox Centre.
